What it fixes on your contract desk

  1. The problem

An end date sneaks up, and your contractor has found their next role elsewhere before you call.

    How Vextron fixes it

The next role, lined up four weeks out

Four weeks before a contract ends, Flynn matches the contractor to the roles they suit, with the reasons shown. You choose who goes forward, or extend with the client.

    What you gain

Contractors stay with you between contracts, and so does the margin they bring.

  2. The problem

The terms live in a spreadsheet, and when a rate changes nobody can say what was agreed for last month.

    How Vextron fixes it

Terms and rates, fixed on the placement

Each placement records the pay and charge rates, whether the contractor is paid through PAYE, an umbrella or their own limited company, the IR35 status and the umbrella company. A later change never rewrites what was agreed.

    What you gain

Everyone works from the same terms, and the margin you agreed is the margin on record.

  3. The problem

The client needs a specialist free on the 1st, wants CVs in their own layout, and wants them today.

    How Vextron fixes it

Who’s free, and a CV that fits

Availability is kept by date, and Flynn ranks who fits. It scores each CV against the brief and rewrites it from what’s on file, nothing invented, in the client’s own format. You check it and send it.

    What you gain

A shortlist the same day the client calls, looking like the answer to their brief.

  4. The problem

A hiring manager’s replies get shorter, or a contractor’s document runs out mid-contract, and you are the last to know.

    How Vextron fixes it

    Flynn spots it first

Flynn reads the tone of a client’s emails and watches every contractor’s documents in the background. When something turns, it tells you and suggests a next step; the step is yours to take.

    What you gain

You fix it while it’s still a conversation, not a lost client or a contractor stood down.

  5. The problem

A contractor’s week waits on a hiring manager who is too busy to sign it off.

    How Vextron fixes it

Signed off where the manager already is

The contractor confirms the week in their portal. The hiring manager approves it from the email it arrives in, or in the client portal.

    What you gain

Contractors trust you to get it right, and come back to you for the next one.

Is switching worth it for your contract desk?

Contract desks and Vextron

Contract work means longer, fixed-term engagements, often for professionals on a day or hourly rate, and frequently through a limited company or an umbrella. Vextron keeps those terms on the placement, so the rate, the engagement type and the IR35 position are the same for everyone who opens it.

Placeholder: longer write-up for search engines (about 400 to 600 words) to come.

Questions from contract desks

Does Vextron decide IR35 status?

No. The status determination is recorded on the placement, so everyone works from the same position.

Can we record umbrella companies and limited companies?

Yes. Each placement records how the contractor is paid, through PAYE, an umbrella or their own limited company, and which umbrella company is involved.

Will Flynn put a contractor forward on its own?

No. Flynn lines up the roles and gets the CV ready. A person decides who goes forward and sends it.

Can we see the margin each contractor brings?

Yes. Pay and charge rates are fixed on each placement, so the margin is on record from day one. Pay and margin figures show to managers and above, and to anyone else you choose.
